MaxSteel® Heavy Duty Bench Vice

Certainly HEAVY duty. it is well made, so there is no 'play', so tightening up is accurate. Also loosens off easily even when something has been left in it for sometime - no need to bash it with the mallet. The anvil is handy for working metal.

Top Tip: Use strips of old innertube from a bike tyre to protect wood when clamping. keep covered with - yes- an oily rag to stop swarf and shavings fouling it up.

I actually thought the rotary system on a bench vice was just a gimmick having always used a standard type vice for over 20 years but how wrong can you be. The rotary system allows you to position the work piece and use the safest work position rather than compromise and work around the fixed direction of the vice.

A top class vice, handled all that I have put through it. Yes there are mire expensive counterparts but I don't think they compare for all round quality and value. 10/10 stanley !

This vice is the best I have ever had, and take my word for granted I have had so many so far. It works brilliantly, as it is easy to bolt itself securely to the bench. Its two jaws are very strong are stable, and that can be cranked together to hold the object you work on without damaging the object. I could not do my craft work without it. Its my right hand since I bought it.

Top Tip: Secure it to the bench. Very easy to do so!
