I was very happy with this plane, i used it for many different applications, until it was "borrowed". Now someone is saving up to replace it, and i want exactly the same back.
Top Tip: Be careful who you "lend" them to.

i have had this plane now for about three months and it great for all general diy and profecional jobs its strong and well built and im fed up with work mates asking to borrow it
Top Tip: get yourself a good stone and it will last you for ages

These stanley planes are the best on the market I have had my plane longer than any other. The blades stay sharp longer than the cheap ones. Top quality materials which are very durable.
You will never have to buy another plane
Top Tip: If you are buying for a present Every one should Buy this, its very good quality and will last a life time.

Had my plane since served time in 1986 and would never have anything else in my kit as reliable and sturdy and leaves a great finish every time, only ever had to replace handle in all these years, would recommend the 41/2 for the wider soleplate, say again excellent tool by stanley .

My Stanley plane has served me well for a good few years.Using it most days, i have found it comfortable to handle both in weight and comfort grip.Handle and blade adjustment are sturdy and hardwearing. I can highly recommend this Stanley plane to anyone.
Top Tip: Always keep blade sharp and rest the plane on its side when not in use to avoid any blade damage.
