Stanley’s new range of FatMax pliers have been designed specifically with the pro user in mind and cover a host of applications. A patented locking mechanism means that if the pliers are dropped during a job they will remain locked in the position selected, so there’s no need to reset them – saving valuable time on site.
All pliers in the new FatMax range are forged from chrome hardened steel and are fully tempered for added strength. The optimised jaw geometry enables multiple gripping applications, whilst the cutting edges have been treated to ensure that they are suitable for cutting hard steel wire. The ergonomic bi-material handles provide a comfortable, safe grip, even when working with wet or oily hands.
Water pump pliers (FatMax Multigrip/Groove Joint Pliers)
Featuring adjustable jaw capacities, these are ideal for plumbing when working on large sized rim nuts. The specially fluted jaw profile also helps to grip pipes securely.
The new range is competitively priced and with 17 different locking positions these are the most precise and flexible water pump pliers currently available. Available in three different sizes ranging from 8” to 12”, they also feature the smallest jaw width on the market making them ideally suited to working in enclosed spaces. A patented push lock adjustment button also means working with one hand is easy, simplifying tasks on site.
FatMax Slip Joint Pliers Suiting general purpose gripping applications, the new FatMax Slip Joint Pliers have smaller adjustable jaw capacities than Water Pump Pliers and benefit from a wire shear built into the jaw for added durability and strength. Easy to use and with the patented Push Lock adjustment button to enable 3 different precise locking positions, these pliers will make a very useful and adaptable tool for any toolbox and are available in two different sizes (6’’ and 8’’.)
New Dynagrip and Maxsteel sets
In addition to the FatMax pliers, Stanley has also introduced new Dynagrip and MaxSteel plier sets.
With forged carbon steel jaws for long life and bi-material handles for comfort, the Dynagrip pliers have close fit machined jaws for efficient cutting performance. The 3 piece set comprises a Long Nose, Diagonal and Combination Plier, whilst the 5 piece set also includes a Water Pump Plier and Wire Stripper.
Finally, the MaxSteel plier sets are designed specifically for wire cutting tasks and are DIN/ASO/ANSI compliant. The 3 piece set consists of a Long Nose, Diagonal and Combination plier. A 4 piece VDE MaxSteel set is also available and, consists of Long Nose, Diagonal and Combination pliers and Wire Cutter. For added safety when working on electrical applications, the VDE range has 1000 volt rated handles for safe live line working (EN60900, IEC/CEI900, VDE0680 compliant)
